The Club
The Saanich Tennis Club was established in 1974 and is located in the Royal Oak area of the Municipality of Saanich just west of Highway 17 off of West Saanich Road. The Club shares operation and maintenance of its tennis courts with the Municipality of Saanich and makes available a minimum of 12 hours of court time a week for the general public on one court. Saanich Tennis Club's official outdoor season is April through September, although members have access to the facilities outside of this period. The Club has over 100 adult and junior members who pay a nominal membership fee ( Adult $50; Family $100; Junior to age 18 $20), fees include a Tennis BC membership. |

Facility
The Saanich Tennis Club has two outdoor hardcourts within a secure perimeter fence. Members also have access to a secured parking area and clubhouse facilities. |

Programs
The Saanich Tennis Club offers many opportunities for organized play during the summer season, these include: Drop-In social play Sunday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday evenings; Team Tennis evenings during the months of May and June; Spring and Fall Inter-Club League play; Club Tournament and the Love 50 Tourney; monthly Summer Socials with drop-in play and potluck lunch/snacks and private access to the courts for casual play. In June the Club holds its popular Neighbourhood Day Open House for prospective members, this includes social play and refreshments. Saanich Tennis Club also provides its members: access to a Ball Machine and quarterly newsletters. During the Fall and Winter seasons the Club stays active organizing a number of indoor play opportunities including: Sunday morning Social play and Mixed Doubles Round Robins for competitive players.
